HAWK Radar
Short-Range / FMCW X-Band AESA Radars
The HAWK radar is a compact, portable short-range radar system operating on the Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) principle. The system uses an AESA antenna within the X-band frequency range, delivering very high resolution and instantaneous refresh rates.
The HAWK is tripod-mounted and fully portable. Its low power consumption allows it to be deployed in the field with solar panels and battery packs, making it ideal for flexible and long-term drone detection in remote areas or mobile C-UAS operations.
Developed specifically for Counter-UAS applications, the radar can detect and track multiple targets simultaneously. The HAWK offers an effective detection radius of more than 30 km, where targets with a Radar Cross Section (RCS) of 1 m² can be detected up to 16 km, and micro-UAVs (RCS 0.01 m²) up to 6 km.
In addition, the HAWK provides accurate targeting information to air defence systems and acts as the primary tracking and control sensor for our RP-24 Hard-Kill C-UAS system.
Like all our radars, the HAWK can be seamlessly integrated with existing air defence assets, including Surface-to-Air Missiles (SAMs) and Anti-Air (AA) systems. Integration can be via direct data linking or full data fusion within C4I networks.
This makes the HAWK ideal for protecting critical infrastructure from low-flying, agile and hard-to-detect threats such as UAVs, and for securing larger or more expensive radar systems susceptible to drone attacks.
