CONDOR Radar

CONDOR Radar

Long-range / S-Band AESA Multi-Mission Radar (MMR)

The HADES CONDOR Radar is a long-range S-Band AESA Multi-Mission Radar (MMR) developed for early warning, integrated air defence, and strategic air and missile surveillance within complex operational environments.

Operating on the Pulse Wave principle and based on GaN-based AESA technology, CONDOR combines very long detection ranges with high resolution and stable tracking performance against both conventional and advanced aerial threats.

The CONDOR family represents the most powerful radar systems within the HADES portfolio and is designed for early detection, tracking, and situational awareness against high-altitude, fast-moving, and long-range threats.

Technical specifications

Depending on the configuration, CONDOR supports:

  • Detection ranges up to 450 km
  • Early Warning configurations up to 750 km
  • Detection of 0.1 m² RCS targets up to 200–300 km
  • Detection of 0.01 m² RCS targets at 30–50 km

Thanks to the combination of S-Band architecture, electronic beam steering, and advanced Doppler processing, the system maintains stable detection performance under heavy operational conditions and within complex air defence environments.

Threat spectrum

The system supports simultaneous detection and tracking of:

  • Air-Breathing Threats (ABTs)
  • Tactical Ballistic Missiles (TBMs)
  • C-RAM threats
  • Hypersonic platforms
  • Stealth targets
  • Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellites
  • In specific configurations, Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs)

Operational architecture

CONDOR supports automatic plot and track processing of a very large number of simultaneous objects, delivering accurate target coordinates for integrated air defence and interception systems.

The system can operate fully autonomously with embedded local C2 capabilities, enabling standalone deployment as an independent operational sensor node within distributed air defence and early warning architectures.

As part of the HADES C4ISR Platform, CONDOR contributes to long-range sensor fusion, multi-domain situational awareness, and an integrated Common Operational Picture (COP) within strategic air defence environments.

Thanks to its software-defined architecture, solid-state AESA technology, and GaN-based radar environment, CONDOR combines very large detection ranges with high reliability, low maintenance requirements, and long-term operational availability.

Integration & interfaces

Via open and modular interfaces, the radar can seamlessly integrate within existing air defence, missile defence and third-party operational environments, including national and NATO C2 and C4ISR networks.

Deployment scenarios

The system is particularly suitable for:

  • Early warning operations
  • Strategic air defence
  • Protection of High-Value Assets
  • Border control
  • Rocket detection
  • National air surveillance
  • Critical infrastructure protection
