CONDOR Radar
LONG-RANGE / S-BAND AESA MULTI-MISSION RADAR (MMR)
The HADES CONDOR radar is a long-range multi-mission radar (MMR) for early warning, integrated air defence and strategic air surveillance. Developed to provide persistent large-scale surveillance, the CONDOR radar delivers reliable detection, tracking and classification of conventional and advanced air threats across large operational areas.
The radar supports continuous airspace surveillance, long-range target acquisition and early warning against both air and missile threats, enabling operators to maintain situational awareness and react swiftly to emerging risks. The CONDOR family represents the highest performance class within the HADES portfolio and is designed to support national air defence, protection of strategic infrastructure and layered missile defence architectures.
CONDOR radar for early warning and ballistic missile defence
Operating in the S-band, the CONDOR multi-mission radar is a strategic class radar, required to detect air and missile threats at long range and altitude before they reach their target. The S-band provides the range and persistent coverage required for early warning and ballistic missile defence, a role not fulfilled by the short-range to long-range X-band radars of the EAGLE family. CONDOR therefore forms the upper layer of the HADES radar portfolio.
Threat coverage
The CONDOR radar supports the simultaneous detection and tracking of a wide spectrum of threats, including:
- Air-Breathing Threats (ABTs)
- Tactical Ballistic Missiles (TBMs)
- C-RAM threats
- Hypersonic platforms
- Targets with a low signature profile and stealth targets
- Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellites
- Intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) in selected configurations
Operational architecture
The CONDOR radar supports automatic plot extraction and large-scale target tracking, delivering accurate target data for integrated air and missile defence systems. The system can function as an autonomous early-warning sensor or as part of a distributed surveillance and air defence architecture.
Within HDS FUSION, the CONDOR radar contributes to long-range sensor fusion, multi-domain situational awareness, and a Common Operational Picture (COP), to support local, regional, and national air defence requirements.
Integration & interfaces
Built on an open architecture philosophy, the CONDOR radar integrates with air, missile defence, and command and control environments. The radar supports interfacing with national and NATO-compliant C2 and C4ISR architectures, and enables deployment within layered air defence and strategic early-warning networks.

The radars and specifications shown serve as examples from our standard portfolio. Each solution is fully custom configured by HADES based on your project and mission requirements.
