LONG-RANGE / X-BAND 4D AESA MULTI-MISSION RADAR (MMR)
The HADES EAGLE+ radar is a high-performance long-range 4D multi-mission radar (MMR) for large-scale air surveillance, integrated air defence and Counter-UAS operations. With an extensive detection range and high simultaneous target capacity, the EAGLE+ radar provides reliable detection, tracking and classification of drones, loitering munitions, helicopters, aircraft, vehicles and other low signature targets across large operational areas.
The radar supports continuous airspace surveillance, early warning, and target acquisition, enabling operators to maintain situational awareness and respond swiftly to evolving threats. Designed for long-endurance surveillance missions, EAGLE+ performs effectively in urban, coastal, maritime, and combat environments.
EAGLE+ radar for long-range air surveillance and air defence
As a multi-mission radar, the EAGLE+ radar simultaneously performs multiple tasks within a single sensor: large-area air surveillance, early warning, and target acquisition for air defence systems. Where the EAGLE radar provides mid-range coverage, EAGLE+ extends the detection range to larger operational areas, making the radar suitable as the primary sensor in a layered air defence network. Its scalable architecture supports deployment as a standalone radar, as part of a layered air defence network, or within distributed surveillance architectures.
Operational architecture
The EAGLE+ radar can operate fully autonomously with integrated local command and control capabilities, enabling deployment as an independent operational sensor node. Its scalability makes the system suitable for local, regional, and national surveillance requirements within a single radar family.
Within HDS FUSION, the EAGLE+ radar acts as the long-range sensor layer, providing long-range tracks for distributed sensor fusion, multi-domain situational awareness, and a Common Operational Picture (COP). With this, the radar forms the outer detection ring, complementing the mid-range coverage of EAGLE and the short-range coverage of HAWK within a single integrated architecture.
Integration & interfaces
Built according to an open architecture philosophy, the EAGLE+ radar seamlessly integrates with third-party sensors, effectors, and command-and-control systems. Via standard protocols such as ASTERIX and SAPIENT, the system can be incorporated into existing operational ecosystems and supports deployment within Counter-UAS, air surveillance, and integrated air defence environments, including national and NATO-compliant operational networks.
