EAGLE Radar
Mid-range / Pulse X-Band AESA Radars
The EAGLE radar is a mobile, medium-range radar system that operates on the Pulse Wave principle, with significantly longer range, and uses an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) antenna that operates within the X-Band frequency range for extremely high resolution.
This radar family is particularly versatile in its applied technology, with several variants for a variety of applications - from Counter-Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (C-UAV) and maritime or off-shore observation, to Counter Rocket, Artillery and Mortar (C-RAM) applications such as counter-battery detection.
The system has an effective range of up to 120 kilometres, while the C-UAV configurations are capable of detecting microdrones with a Radar Cross Section (RCS) of 0.01 m² at distances of up to 30 kilometres.
Depending on the intended mission, radar configurations can range from portable tripods and towable chassis with independent power supply, to fully mobile systems mounted on large vehicles (6×6 or 8×8), depending on the operational deployment.
Like all our radars, the EAGLE can be fully integrated with existing air defence assets, such as Surface-to-Air Missiles (SAMs) and Anti-Air (AA) installations, via data exchange or full data fusion within C4i networks.
The system is ideal for protecting critical infrastructure from low-flying, agile and hard-to-detect threats such as UAVs, or for locating the origin of various projectile attacks, such as artillery or mortar fire.
